| For my third Autostitch shot, I picked a bunch of pictures I took on the Big Island of Hawaii in February 2007. We headed north out of Kona, and were amazed by the view overlooking the view from Mamalahoa Hwy (Route 190). I tried a panorama, but it didn't work out well due to the contrast with the sun. This is looking northwest over the path of the 1801 eruption near Kona. The eruption went on until King Kamehameha, the first unifying king of Hawaii, placed some of his hair in the lava flow. The flow stopped one to two days later. For this shot, I put together a bunch of random pictures. It took 4 I never thought could be put together, but somehow it stitched them easily. |
